What does the $5,000 reserve?
It reserves one of the ten Founding 10 deployments and is credited in full toward the $60,000 first-year program when service starts. If you decide not to proceed, email us before November 1, 2026 and we refund the full $5,000 — no conditions, no deductions. The full details are in the reservation terms.
Are you charging the full $60,000 today?
No. We charge $5,000 today. The remaining $55,000 is invoiced under the signed service agreement before service starts, payable by ACH or wire.
Do we really own the Mac Studio after one year?
Yes. Complete the 12-month agreement and title to the Mac Studio transfers to your company at no additional hardware cost. Shipping and any applicable sales tax on the transfer are covered in the service agreement.
Is our compute shared?
No. Each Founding 10 organization gets its own physical Mac Studio. It is not a shared GPU pool and it does not run another customer's workloads.
Does everything have to use a local model?
No. Glue runs sensitive workloads on your machine while letting approved requests reach external frontier providers such as Claude or Grok. Your administrators set that policy and can change it at any time.
What is Glue?
Glue is CommaScale's control plane for chat, APIs, local model management, retrieval, permissions, auditability, agents and routing between private and approved external models.
What if the 512GB Mac Studio configuration isn't available?
We confirm your exact hardware specification in writing before the service agreement becomes binding. We never substitute a materially different system without your written approval — if we can't supply the agreed configuration, you get a full refund.
What if November 1 slips?
November 1, 2026 is our committed service start. If we can't deliver within 30 days of it, you can cancel and take a full refund of everything paid. That commitment is written into the reservation terms.
Where is the system hosted?
CommaScale-managed infrastructure in the Pittsburgh area for the initial term. Facility, security, network and service-level details are provided in writing before you sign the service agreement.
What happens after the first year?
You own the Mac Studio. Keep it hosted with CommaScale and continue Glue and management, move it to your office while retaining management, or take possession and run it yourself.
